Description :
Legends surround the Blue Hole of Winslow Township. Even Henry Charlton Beck writes about it in More Forgotten Towns of Southern New Jersey. Legend reports it to be bottomless, and the bathing place of the Jersey Devil.

Here is the first part of a two part article where the author recounts his experiences with the infamous Blue Hole.

Reprinted with permission from the old South Jersey Magazine. Spring 1996.
